Gforce Virtual String Machine X64 Installer

The Sound of Classic String Machines in a Plug-in! Get the 'string machine' tones of yesteryear with GForce's awesome Virtual String Machine. If you know a bit about music history, you know that the polyphonic string synthesizer was invented in 1970 by Ken Freeman.
Ken realized that you could layer one note with another note that was detuned and just slightly modulated from itself, and you'd get a nice 'chorused' sound out of it. As the electronic music world got wind of the sonic result, manufacturers set out to create a cool instrument that took advantage of this sound. With the GForce Virtual String Machine, you get a bunch of sounds from that particular genre and time in musical history.
GForce used their technology to model a small mountain of both classic and rare string machines. Inside the Virtual String Machine, you'll find a vast repertoire of sounds - everything from the Eminent 310 and the Freeman String Symphonizer to the famous Logan String Melody, the Korg PE-2000, the Elka Rhapsody, the Solina, and more.
But GForce, as usual, went ahead and put their own spin on things. Go ahead and dig into the sounds of the originals. Or take advantage of the Virtual String Machine's 2-layer option to build a hybrid instrument and enter uncharted musical territory!
Whatever you do, you'll launch a range of sonic adventures - and get a great lesson in electronic music history - when you dive into the GForce Virtual String Machine. Rated 5/ 5 I really LOVE this plugin I have been using this plugin since it came out which was at least a couple of years ago. What I love is the sampled sounds are so rich and authentic, but the interface really lets you tweak and modify sounds and layers to the point you can come up with some really usable variations and save those as your own presets. The other thing I really like (in comparison to some other sample based plugins) is the presets aren't distracted by crazy plugin effects that you end up having to undo. Instead, you get the purest of sound in the spirit of the original hardware synth and then you are free to do whatever you want from there.
Music background: DJ, Hobbyist Rated 5/ 5 sweetwater and gforce vsm i'm so happy!!! Gforce vsm is in a word;unbelievable!!! After ironing out some install issues, which sweetwater was integral to achieve. I'm blown away.synth based string sounds are no comparison,to the vsm's sampled strings!!
This is the real deal: lush, deep and retro, without the reliability issues of the originals.let me add,to run vsm and m-tron pro,in the same gui window is very satisfying,as well as time saving.i highly recommend sweetwater and gforce;a musicians marriage made in heaven!!! Music background: analog recording, musical performance artist Rated 5/ 5 This thing totally rules The Virtual String Machine contains a series of wonderful recreations of classic keyboards, including the freeman string machine, several ARP models, the solina, and others. You can play each of the machines separately, or you can combine them. There are number of patches already created that do just that, and each of them sound amazing! Probably the best $129 on musical gear I've spent in quite a while. Music background: Semi-pro musician devoted to old gear Rated 4/ 5 Simple & Easy to programme and work with Lots of presets but very few that will stir you. Look through the presets and save your fav presets in your library.
Gforce Virtual String Machine 64 Bit Installer
Having said that its easy to programme. There is an add on that has just come out like an expansion pack. The sampling technology I found to be less than 100% clean, but it adds to the character. The limitation of a few octaves is annoying. However, that's the way the keyboard spanned back in the day. For purists, there are alternatives, and many free e.g some great Reaktor plugins.
This is premium priced product, but does not deliver as much as other synths at the price point, hence a 4. If it was $99 I would have given it a 5 star rating.
